MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT

Dear Colleagues in Christ,

There has never been a more important time in the missionary life of the Catholic Church to go forth and proclaim the truth, beauty, and goodness of Jesus Christ and His Church. Part of our baptismal identity calls us to actively contribute in the priestly, prophetic, and kingly office of Jesus Christ to impart and demonstrate the Catholic faith in word and deed.

We know and understand that the Christian community represents the origin of catechesis. As the catechetical community continues to engage a culture that has become more ambivalent against Christ and His Church it is evident that additional ministerial support is needed. To address these growing needs the National Association of Professional Catechetical Leaders (NAPCL) is meant to serve as a beacon of light and hope for the Christian community. The focus of NAPCL is to provide catechetical support, resources, and professional development to address the growing tide of pastoral, catechetical, and doctrinal challenges many catechetical leaders encounter in their own diocesan and parish communities.

I invite you to acquaint yourself with the NAPCL and how it may assist you in your catechetical ministry. Thank you for your service to the Church and for the sacrifices you have made to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Yours servant in Christ,

Dr Marlon De La Torre, MA, MEd., Ph.D.
